Thanks to this task, it was implemented the cutting of the ears and the tail, to avoid that the prey with which it fought could not bite any part of its body, having exposed the minimum possible parts and thus avoid some damage, a custom that evidently, was going from generation to generation.

Temperament:

The Cane Corso is an excellent watchdog and, with training, a protection dog. It is fairly independent and about average in terms of ease of training. The breed is affectionate but somewhat serious. Because of the Cano Corso’s strength and determination, it is not the ideal dog for children or the elderly.

It can be black, different shades of gray - bluish gray, dark gray, light gray, lead gray and mottled gray - with stripes of different shades of gray and brown. Many people call this kind of dog a brindle cane corso. It can also be brown, i.e. deer red. Some cane corso dogs have a white spot on their chest, and white areas on the tips of their paws and nose are acceptable. Kane corso brindle and ginger have a gray mask that is limited to the area of the muzzle and does not extend beyond the eyes.

The cane corso can become an elite guard dog if it is well trained, vigilant and guardian of your house or farm. The cane corso is a very obedient dog.
