About the breed
physical characteristics:
Head and neck
- Big, flat and slightly convex head, jaw is curved with large theeth, strong and muscular neck roughly the same length as the head.
Legs
- The front legs are strong, and the shoulder blade is long and very muscular. The hind legs are also strong, and the hocks are moderately bent. The front paws are round, gathered and compact - the so-called cat's paws.
Height and weight
- Adulth Cane Corso can be around 64 – 68 cm and the females 60 – 64 cm tall at the whiters. Males can weight between 45 – 50 kg and females usually weight 40 to 45 kg.
Body
- The body is strong and slender. The length is slightly higher than the height. The chest is well developed, slightly bulging towards the front legs. The back is straight and wide, and the lower line of the body is slightly drawn in. The tail is set quite high and during activity, it almost always stands tall, but is never bent over or completely upright.

The coat color of this breed comes in several shades. It can be black, different shades of gray - bluish gray, dark gray, light gray, lead gray and mottled gray - with stripes of different shades of gray and brown. Many people call this kind of dog a brindle cane corso. It can also be brown, i.e. deer red. Some cane corso dogs have a white spot on their chest, and white areas on the tips of their paws and nose are acceptable. Kane corso brindle and ginger have a gray mask that is limited to the area of the muzzle and does not extend beyond the eyes.
Advantages:
It is a companion dog breed and very protective of the family, for this reason it is called a guard dog. The cane corso can become an elite guard dog if it is well trained, vigilant and guardian of your house or farm. The cane corso is a very obedient dog. It is easy to train him, as he is very disciplined. It is also worth mentioning that this breed is extremely intelligent!
